National Youth Film Contest will deliver its 2023 awards in Guayaquil

The National Board of Education in Values and the Intercollegiate Film Festival (FIC) will present the prizes of the eleventh edition of the National Youth Film Competition ‘The value of doing it well’. Students from public and private schools produced 40 short films, from which the best ones will be chosen.

The work of the teams in the categories of fiction short, documentary short, spots or campaign have been published on the FIC YouTube channel.

The award will be this Saturday, January 28, at the Cinematheque of the Casa de la Cultura, Núcleo del Guayas, at 5:00 p.m. The objective of the meeting is to promote values through audiovisual narratives. The festival used to be only for private schools, but in 2022 an alliance with the National Table for Education in Values and the support of the Ministry of Education allowed the call to be extended to fiscal and fiscal establishments.

Seventy teams and their tutors went through a period of training (from July to October 2022), with workshops on scriptwriting, photography, sound, art, editing, acting, lighting, and values. In November 2022, the 40 short films were received, with their respective trailers, as stated on the FIC Instagram account. In addition, Soundcloud has uploaded the soundtrack with the music used by the filmmakers.

The participants are students from 15 to 18 years old that carry a positive and thought-provoking message. (AND)
