The rough surface will make it easy for silverfish to get into the jar. Then put sugar inside or put a piece of bread (or cardboard). This is the bait that will lure them inside. Finally, all you have to do is set the trap in the corner of the bathroom and wait about 24 hours. Once the silverfish get inside, they will not be able to get out of the jar due to the slippery inner wall.
You can also make a homemade silverfish trap out of cardboard. Enough cut a piece of cardboard and smear it with honey, which will act as a sticky note. The sweet smell will attract insects, and then such a trap will immobilize them.
How to get rid of silverfish from the bathroom? Don’t forget about prevention
Once we have removed insects from our bathroom, it is worth preventing their next visits. For this, smells that they do not tolerate, namely lemon and lavender, will come in handy. It is therefore worth regularly in the bathroom water with the addition of lemon juice or lavender oil.
