Twitter is sued for not paying its rent at its London headquarters

The Crown Estate, the body that manages assets owned by the British monarchy, announced on Tuesday that took legal action against the American social network Twitter, accusing it of not paying the rent of its headquarters in London.

The Daily Telegraph newspaper reported that the logo of the social network was removed from the buildingbut an employee of the company assured that it continues to occupy the premises.

Twitter could not be reached for comment. The Crown Estate, one of the largest landowners in the United Kingdom, owns significant estates in the heart of London, the royal domain of Windsor and the seabeds of England, Wales and Northern Ireland, with assets valued at more than £15 billion.
