One of them is Kristian Paredes, 23, who claims he was “seriously injured” during the November 5 concert, according to the Daily Mail, who had access to the text of the complaint. He claims more than a million dollars, according to the same source.
In all, almost 50,000 people were among the crowd that turned out for the Astroworld festival. More than 360 policemen and 240 guards watched over security.
At around 9:00 p.m. local time, the crowd began to rush onto the stage, causing panic and injured. Some people then fell to the ground and passed out, increasing fear, authorities said.
Plaintiff Paredes is also filing a complaint against the concert organizers, Live Nation and the performance hall. In his complaint, he affirms that there were deaths and injuries due to “Negligence and recklessness” of the accused, their agents and their employees.
“Several people begged help Live Nation security officers, but they did not pay attention to them ”, affirms the text, quoted by the mass media.
The complaint, filed in the Houston court, assures that Travis Scott has already “incited mayhem” at previous concerts. He also accuses the rapper Drake of contributing to the events for having continued singing despite the fact that the crowd “became uncontrollable.”
Other people, however, claim that Travis Scott stopped acting when he saw fans desperate near the stage. The singer said he was “absolutely devastated” by what happened.
According to Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner, authorities are examining the recordings and talking to witnesses, the concert organizers and the hospitalized people.
