One more day, the Gran Teatro Falla in Cádiz hosts a new day of the qualifying phase of the Official Contest of Carnival Groups (COAC) of Cádiz, which this year has a total of 131 musical groups, including chirigotas, comparsas, choirs and quartets. This Tuesday the fourth day of the preliminary phase takes place, in which each of the groups makes their passes to secretly receive the corresponding points from the daily COAC jury. These are the groups that participate this Tuesday and the order in which they will appear on the stage of the Great Falla.

How does the contest work? It initially starts with a qualifying phase, the so-called preliminary phase, which started on January 21 and ends on February 4: during these two weeks, each session welcomes between seven and eight theater groups, which will be evaluated by the jury. Each of the groups has half an hour to demonstrate their art, making each session last around five hours. The tickets to be able to go to the Gran Teatro Falla in Cádiz to see any of the performances of the preliminary phase of the COAC have been sold out since the day they went on sale. Those of the following phases have not yet been released, although they are expected to sell out very quickly, shortly after going on sale. Of course, thanks to Onda Cádiz Carnival you can see all the performances of the preliminary phaseas well as those of the quarterfinals and the semifinal, although the final is not usually possible to watch live.
