The children from 8 to 12 years old that make up the group offer the show ‘Rejoice’ every year around these dates.
The song of twelve children has been heard throughout Ecuador in this last month of December. Its about cherub group, a group of children from 8 to 12 years old who delight in singing Christmas songs, especially those from the Ecuadorian record, rejoice it’s christmas, of Borkis Choir Group which is written by the man from Guayaquil, Jorge Luis Bohorquez.
These children belong to Borkis Entertainment’s La Mayor singing academy, and have joined their voices in various performances of schools, neighborhoods and churches with Christmas melodies, which have been popular since 2009. “There are many people who give things for Christmas, but we give away music, that is our apostolate and our happiness”, says bohórquezfounder of the Borkis label.
Artists like Maykel, Daniel Betancurth, gianpiero, Jorge Luis Del Hierro Y the fearless, belong to the same label and have accompanied Cherub in their shows, that have been carried out on national stages in Quito, Manta, Salinas and La Libertad; and even in the city of Guadalajara, in Mexico.
Borkis Entertainment Releases “Cheer Up! Christmas Greatest Hits”
Some of the most popular songs on the album are simple at hearta theme that Maykel I used to sing when I was a kid get happy, the one that sounds the most in the ninths. “The songs are ideal for karaoke, you can download the tracks from Youtube or the channel Spotify and sing along with his Christmas group”, indicates the composer.
Cherub has taken the show rejoice to a media tour, including a presentation at RTS. According to bohórquezChristmas carols focus on the birth of Baby Jesus, unlike popular songs such as Rudolph the Reindeer. “Our nature is to create. We have created these Christmas carols, and we have been singing them for 14 years and it is a huge joy because we do not sing them by force, we have many followers of our songs, ”she maintains.
The album has been evolving since its creation and already has different proposals, interpreted by different artists. The third album (2017), which is available on the platforms, is called Get happy! christmas greatest hits, “We love Christmas classics, but our passion is giving people something new.
