D-Max the best-selling model in Ecuador

With more than 6,336 units sold in 2021, the iconic Chevrolet D-Max truck, manufactured at the GM OBB plant in Ecuador, positioned itself as the best-selling model in the Ecuadorian market. At the end of 2022, it maintains this position thanks to its performance, safety and reliability. Chevrolet commemorated this milestone with a special edition of its D-Max Hi Ride truck.

True to its vision of a world with zero pollution, GM OBB of Ecuador carried out the largest day of corporate volunteering in the Paluguillo area, together with its strategic ally Fonag, collaborators, family members and strategic partners. More than 300 bags of garbage were collected on 8 kilometers of roads and slopes of the páramo that supplies Quito with water.

GM OBB of Ecuador received, for the eighth consecutive year, the Sustainable Quito 2022 Environmental Distinction, delivered by the Quito MD Environment Secretariat, thanks to its good environmental practices, efficient management of resources that it carries out in its operation and its programs of environmental footprint management. It was also recognized at the Manufacturing Awards for being the most sustainable GM plant in the world.

Chevrolet, 28 years being the brand preferred by Ecuadorians

At the end of 2022, Chevrolet was consolidated as the vehicle brand preferred by Ecuadorians, completing more than 28 consecutive years in that position. With D-Max being the protagonist in sales and the most complete portfolio in all market segments.
