‘With faith, let’s go for that seagull!’, says Tres Dedos, the artist who will represent Ecuador in Viña del Mar 2023

This morning the Viña del Mar Festival recently confirmed the finalists who will represent their countries in the international competition of the meeting. From Ecuador, the artist Tres Dedos was selected, by the Guayaquil singer-songwriter John Taleb.

Taleb will compete with new talents, such as Mila Manes (Argentina), Yorka (Chile), Teo (Colombia), Zelaya (Guatemala) and Ely Blancarte (Mexico). The meeting will take place between February 19 and 24, 2023 in the city of Viña del Mar (Chile).

The interpreter of Tres Dedos is very confident for the competition. “With faith, let’s go for that seagull!” Said the artist in a short clip published on social networks after learning of his nomination. He complemented the publication with this message: “What pride and joy I feel knowing that I will represent my Ecuador in one of the most important music festivals on the continent. Infinitely grateful to God and to the people of the festival for this immense opportunity to be able to represent my country”.

With Sorrya song that “with faith, God’s help and all of you, I will bring that seagull home!” says Taleb and that will raise the name of the country high.

Sorry is one of the most important themes of Taleb’s artistic career. This song has had some representative recognitions, both in Ecuadorian territory and abroad. It was published in 2019 and achieved great acceptance on digital platforms, such as Spotify, YouTube, among others.
