COAC 2023 calendar: order of performances, day by day, of the Carnival of Cádiz

A total of 131 chirigotas, comparsas, choirs and quartets are those that have been summoned this year for the Official Contest of Carnival Groups (COAC) of the Carnival of Cádiz, which is held between January and February at the Gran Teatro Falla in the city of Cádiz, home to one of the most special carnivals in Spain. To these are added the musical groups that, following the example of their elders, participate in the children’s and youth categories of the same contest.

After a different year, in which the Carnival of Cádiz moved to spring (instead of being held in winter, as always), Cádiz returns to the custom that it has maintained since the seventies and tries to cope with the cold based on humour, thanks to pasodobles, tangos, cuplés and other compositions full of irony and humor about life in Spain. The Carnival of Cádiz, before taking to the streets, moves to the Gran Teatro Falla and here you can see the full schedule and order of performances of each of the days that take place until the day of the grand finale, on February 17, on the eve of the Carnival.
