The British Academy of Film has announced the nominees for the bafta awards 2023, a list in which it is included Ana de Armas. The Spanish-Cuban actress will compete in the category of best actress for her leading role as Marilyn Monroe in the movie ‘Blonde’.
In that same category Also featured are Cate Blanchett (Tár), Viola Davis (The Woman King), Danielle Deadwyler (Till), Emma Thompson (Good luck to you, Leo Grande) and Michelle Williams (The Fabelmans).
The 76th edition of the British film awards will take place on February 19 at the Royal Festival Hall in London and Richard E. Grant will be the presenter of the gala. In Spain, the ceremony will be broadcast live from 8:00 p.m. on the TCM channel.
In addition, this year there will be great news, and it is that the broadcast of the delivery of the last four awards of the gala will be live. Something that differs from previous years, where the ceremony was pre-recorded to be broadcast hours later.
One of the great surprises of this ceremony, which usually becomes a guide to what can happen at the Oscars, has been given by the film ‘No news at the front’ by becoming the title that has received the most nominations (14). However, it seems that the favorites remain: ‘Inisherin’s Banshees’ (10 nominations) and ‘Everything at once everywhere’ (10 nominations).
