Kevin Spacey pleads not guilty to seven new UK sexual assault charges

the american actor Kevin Spacey pleaded not guilty this Friday to seven new charges of sexual assault in the UK, months after denying other similar accusations.

Spacey, 63, who attended the hearing at Southwark Court in London by video link, is accused of sexually assaulting a man between 2001 and 2004.

The Hollywood actor is accused of forcing the alleged victim “to have non-consensual sexual relations”, the prosecution stated in November, when it authorized the police to add the new charges to its already long record.

The winner of two Oscars, for American Beauty (1999) and usual suspects (1995), is already on trial before a British court for four sexual assaults on three men between March 2005 and April 2013when he was director of the prestigious Old Vic theater in London.

In total, and after another complaint from a man in November, now faces 12 counts related to allegations of sexual assault against four people of their sex between 2001 and 2013.

The actor’s trial, which will last a month in June, will address all of these cases. (YO)
