The princesses will get out of fairy tales to tell their own story on the scenes of the Sanchez Aguilar Theater. This December 3 Royal Company premieres its Christmas musical Royal Christmas Concert.
The work brings together the most classic songs, the iconic scenes and ten princesses on the same stage, being Ana, Mérida, Belle, Rapunzel, Jasmine, The Little Mermaid and Elsa, some of them. The dance team of Pedro Moscoso joins this proposal. In total there are approximately 22 people on stage.
All these princesses spend Christmas together, and they carry a special gift for the same purpose, speaking of this form of union and spending with the family. “That is the message that we want to leave, that the differences between all of them do not matter, because each one brings something special to be able to enjoy something together”, He says Gabriela Andrade, producer of this musical.
For her it is a dream to actually put them all on the same stage. “I am a fan of Disney… putting each of them together is wonderful, because you realize these differences that Disney has created… for For example, we see a more dreamy Little Mermaid, Jasmine wants to explore the world, on the other hand, the new princesses are empowered princesses, warriors… I think Elsa represents the maturity of women as such, that you don’t need a prince to be a Queen and to be able to govern something”, argues Andrade.
Singer Caroline Aguirre gives life to Queen Elsa, from the movie Frozen. She confesses that each rehearsal makes her vibrate. “For me it is a dream come true, because many of us have grown up with princess movies, and it is the first time – I did musical theater fifteen years ago – that I can play a princess”, mentions.
Of his performance, the moment he interprets the iconic song stands out I am free, since it says that it speaks of something that every person has experienced at some point: “fear of being different, of exploiting our potential, of leaving our comfort zone, of showing who we really are.”

Disney in Ecuador
mounting Royal Christmas Concert seeks to transport the public to the magical world of Disney, through a show that has dance, acrobatics, music and characterizations of these beloved characters. “What I have wanted is to bring a bit of that, with national talent. You can do things at an international level with artists from here, because I am in the world in children’s theater and I see works that come (to Ecuador) in which I end by saying that in Ecuador we can do much cooler things if we work well ”, points out Andrade, who is also dedicated to acting.
The musical composition of the work is in charge of Christian Valencia, lights and script david morejon and the choreography of Pedro Moscoso. “They are the perfect contribution so that I can create this magic that I want.”
The functions of Royal Christmas Concert are next Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 Decemberwith two times each day: at 11:00 and 17:00. That is, there are four functions in total.
