Work is still underway on the act guaranteeing the payment of the 14th old-age pension. However, the details are not yet known. – The limit is to be the same as before, i.e. PLN 2,900, the first payments are to be made in the last week of August, similarly to last year – Deputy Minister Stanisław Szwed promised in an interview with “Super Express”.
How much money can seniors expect? The 14th old-age pension is equal to the minimum old-age pension valid in a given year. Pensioners receiving more than PLN 2,900 gross receive it on a “PLN for PLN” basis, reduced accordingly. Another good news for seniors is that payouts will be higher this year. The final maximum amount of the 14th pension, taking into account the current forecasts regarding the March indexation, may amount to PLN 1,588.44 gross, i.e. PLN 1,445.48 net.
