Euskaraz irakurri: “Air!” dokumentala, Mauriziaren bideari segika
The mythical musician Maurizia Aldaiturriaga passed away 35 years ago, and the director and screenwriter Gentzane Martinez de Osaba has set out to pay homage to the singer and tambourine player in the documentary Air!.
The story, in which EITB participates and which has launched a crowdfunding campaign, features 14 young people. With the help of three experts in popular music, these young people from different backgrounds and cultures will have to recreate a traditional song from Arratia in ten days, based on the figure and experiences of Maurizia.
“Maurizia’s spirit is still alive, it is present more than ever and the time has come to spread her legacy in society, especially among the younger generations who are unaware, for the most part, who Maurizia was and what her work was and contribution to our culture”, say those responsible for the project.
