Working trousers for miners. Why jeans with metal rivets?
As jeans were trousers made for workers, they had to be highly resistant. The creators reinforced them with thick seams, but when the pants gained popularity among miners, it turned out that the pockets are the weak point. Miners carry heavy tools in their pockets, so the pockets are reinforced with metal rivets to prevent them from breaking off. Initially, the pants had two pockets – two in the front and one in the back. Then another back pocket was added and a small pocket on the front – used to store the watch.
