What fashion errors have you detected in Ecuador?
Watching Ecuadorian fashion from New York and when I came to visit the country I realized that we need to dare, it is as if people do not want to leave a comfort zone. And really fashion is daring, that’s the beauty of this industry. Fashion is very, very intense, very broad and, for example, what some Ecuadorians say about not being able to wear glitter during the day is not true, yes you can! My style is very classic and elegant. Sexy, but always keeping the distinction, without having to show too much.
What role do accessories play in complementing an outfit?
For me, a woman without accessories is like a garden without flowers. Accessories are extremely important and in certain cases the law of ‘less is more’ does apply.but that does not mean not using any accessories in your looks final.
What change have you noticed in your clients when they transform their way of dressing?
The best thing about working with a fashion consultant is letting go. If you listen to it, in a month no one recognizes you anymore and that’s me I have succeeded with several women who perhaps did not dare to show off their beauty before, but now take more risks when dressing and they look fabulous. It’s an incredible thing, your self-esteem rises and you feel alive.
Does anyone in your family share your love of fashion?
One of my daughters has followed that path, even studying fashion design. She is 33 years old and she is gorgeous, when she is in my store, for example, wearing a dress, if she had 6 of those, 5 were sold that day.
