Little is known about the plot of the live-action film (action live), starring margot robbie as the iconic doll of mattel Y Ryan Gosling as her boyfriend Kenalthough several official photos of the cast have already been published, as well as photos of Robbie and Gosling in different filming locations.

Although the official trailer remains to be awaited, the first preview shows several scenes that hint at what the film will project to be released in July 2023.
The sneak peek shows Margot, who plays the title role, in a black and white striped bathing suit, inspired by the first Barbie doll. Margot bursts onto the scene in gigantic dimensions, while a group of pre-Barbie girls admire her in amazement. This painting also nods to how the little plastic woman fiercely replaced the baby dolls traditionally used by girls until the advent of Barbie.

The preview also shows Ryan Gosling, who plays Ken, dancing and proving that “plastic life is fantastic”, as recites the song Barbie from Aqua (life in plastic, it’s fantastic).
Joining Robbie and Gosling in the film are Emma Mackey (Emily), Simu Liu (Shang-Chi and the legend of the ten rings), America Ferrera (Ugly Betty), Kate McKinnon (Saturday night Live), Will Ferrell (elf), Issa Rae, Alexandra Shipp (X Men: Apocalypse), Michael Cera (Scott Pilgrim against the world) and Ariana Greenblatt (Avengers: Infinity War).
