David Reinoso and Víctor Aráuz say goodbye (temporarily) to ‘La Michy y Melo 3’; his comic characters return to the theater

They return to the stage and with their first performances sold out. Ecuadorian actors Victor Arauz Y David Reinoso They have returned to the theater with their comic characters Michy and Melo, in their respective order, to put an end to the humor story that began in the television studios.

Michy and Melo, the farewell is the current humorous proposal with which they close a chapter -at least temporarily-, with this couple of friends who are joined by La Tita, played by the actor christian maquilon.

“In this installment there will be a conflict over trespassing, which is very fashionable in these situations. Michy and Melo consolidate their political party: El Voue (Oppressed Men United for Hope). La Melo, is one of the candidates for mayor of the city, Michy works with her as a political adviser and adviser. Her popularity creates several enemies for them, who want to put an end to Melo’s aspirations when they blame her for a corruption case she knows nothing about. This complaint causes a media scandal that leads to a search of the party facilities and the subsequent arrest of Michy and Melo”, mentions Reinoso.

Aráuz tells that in the midst of this journey his characters will live different experiences. “We have a new director, with whom we work now and he is very visual, he has a lot of support with the issue of screens and that goes back to the Show much more striking, to put it that way”, he points out about this work produced by Puzzles. This staging has the script of Jose Rengifo, while the stage direction is assumed by the Chilean Sebastian Sanchez Amunategui, overall production of Xavier Campuzano and general direction of Catrina Tala.

Maquilón, who assumes the role of Tita, the group’s new friend, will be responsible for proving their innocence and freeing them from jail. “La Tita tries to get them out of jail using the classic resource of imprisoned politicians: the habeas corpus. To prove their innocence, they will have to go through several tense situations, fights, media scandals, trials, show business, shackles, until they finally find the culprit,” Reinoso details.

Aráuz also tells that the character of ‘la Tita’ is also the community manager from a celebrity website where he shares the ins and outs of his other ‘media talents’ on his digital show. In the play, Jackson Peralta (Mister W) will have a special participation.

The play will be on stage at the Fedenador Theater on July 15, 16 and 17 (its second weekend, this with dates still available) at TicketShow points of sale at cc Riocentro Entre Ríos and Ceibos. Goodbye characters?

“We are very grateful to the public because the expectation has been so great that we have a fully sold first weekend. It depends on what the public says and even so we are doing shows in other cities with La Michy and La Melo, and people love them very much”, says Reinoso about the permanence of these characters on stage.

This year both actors had a tour of presentations with these roles in the United States for the Ecuadorian community residing in that country. “There is an emotion, there is something that you feel when you are there with them. After the end Show It’s not even for the photo but to get closer and talk, to feel their land. In the end, the character of La Michy and La Melo, on the street and shows, We were also with Andrés Garzón, they came up to us and gave us gifts, even for our families. They were very beautiful moments, and full of joy and you realize the affection of those who are outside for the national artists”, says Aráuz.

He emphasizes that although the affection of the local public is intense, the support of the followers abroad is different because they feel that they are reunited with a part of their country.

Currently Aráuz, in addition to his theatrical functions, remains one of the presenters of the program the after (in Teleamazon, along with Ave Jaramillo), the digital program What’s up (with Álex Vizuete) and until recently presented the Show black humor Victor being Victor.

Another of the projects that the actor and comedian has developed on digital platforms is Hedgehogs, with actress Priscila Negrón. This six chapter series is directed by Elías Enoc and with a structure put together by José Rengifo.

Reinoso, on the other hand, is focused on his family life and has been linked to projects that do not require much time away from them. “I have not gotten into television, I did want to take advantage of this time to not get involved in anything that takes a lot of time. I was with indefeasible (Oswaldo Segura and Francisco Pinoargotti), in Quito; then we went to the United States, from there we returned to Quito, then he had to stop due to the mobilizations and I have been with the theater ”, he details.

The producer also plans to travel in September with the production indefeasible, together with Pinoargotti, the United States and in October it is expected that Araúz will join them. (AND)
