Avatar: The Way of Water It is one of the most anticipated films of the year, a tape whose production spanned several years by director James Cameron.

The first film released 13 years ago was very well received, to the point that it became the highest grossing in history, with 2,920 million at the box office. The record allowed Cameron to put all his efforts back for a sequel and several more installments.
This sequel is much more ambitious than the first part and it is not uncommon for it to have a high budget, which was initially estimated at approximately 250 million dollars, almost the same as the first part of 237 million dollars.
As reported by the specialized press, the total budget allocated to all the sequels, from Avatar 2 to Avatar 5, would be 1,000 million dollars.
Now, The Hollywood Reporter revealed that the new film would have been much more expensive than expected. Recently, Cameron confirmed that it had been “heads”, without giving an exact number. Total, the money allocated would amount to 350 or 400 million dollars.
In this way, the film would be, at least, one of the most expensive in all of history. So far the achievement had it Pirates of the Caribbean: Sailing in mysterious waterswhich cost $379 million.
It is estimated that this sequel will have an initial box office of between 150 and 170 million in North American theaterswhen it premieres on December 16.
Avatar: The Way of Water once again focuses on Sam Worthington’s Sully and Zoe Saldana’s Na’vi character Neytiri.
Picks up a decade after the original and follows his family, with additional stars including franchise newcomers Vin Diesel and Kate Winslet. (AND)
