The New Year’s Eve concert of Miley Cyrus on the American television NBC is already a tradition. Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party was unique this time – the second host agreed to be the legend of the music scene, singer, composer, songwriter and American national good, and privately Miley’s godmother – Dolly Parton.
Dolly’s performances were great, but the performance of Miley Cyrus with Fletcher was especially impressive during the concert. Fletcher first performed her hit “Becky’s So Hot” solo, and then, together with the hostess, Cyrus’s “Midnight Sky”.
The artists sounded great together, vocally it was definitely the best performance (although it must be admitted that Miley sounded very good the whole evening). But the internet also ignited the flirtation of the artists on stage – they hugged, looked deep into the eyes, and finally Fletcher knelt in front of an older friend, and Miley stroked her face.
“We know you watch ‘Midnight Sky’ by Miley Cyrus and Fletcher over and over again,” NBC’s Twitter account said. On Tik Tok, the video has already been viewed over seven million times.
Before the concert, Fletcher admitted that the invitation was a surprise to her and she felt like she had come full circle. As a teenager, she made extra money performing at children’s parties, disguised, among others. for Hannah Montana. Fletcher has already talked about the circle before, when she was overtaken by Taylor Swift in the rankings of “folklore”, which she also transformed into for the needs of children’s games.
Miley and Dolly in hit duets
During Miley’s New Year’s Eve party Miley’s duets with Dolly Parton were also great. The artists went on stage together three times. They sang (unfortunately in the case of Dolly at least partly from playback) “I Love Rock ‘n’ Roll” by Joan Jett, then “Wrecking Ball” by Miley and “I Will Always Love You” by Dolly, and finally “Walkin’ After Midnight” by Patsy Cline and “Jolene” Parton.
David Byrne from Talking Heads, Sia, Rae Sremmurd, Paris Hilton, Latto and Liily also appeared on stage – solo and in duets with the hostess of the event. A lot of joy among the audience caused the performance of the song “Stars Are Blind”, which is the only known, but almost cult song by Paris Hilton.
The performances of comedians from Saturday Night Live, however, were unsuccessful. There were a few cutscenes with their participation, but unfortunately none of them were particularly funny.
