How and with what to wash the panels? Remember to do it the right way
Incorrect washing can lead to loosening and deepening of the floor and the formation of scratches. This is why always vacuum the panels before reaching for the mop. Thanks to this, you will remove sand, dust and particles that can lead to scratches. Wash the floor thoroughly with a cloth or mop drained of excess water. Panels, like wooden floors, do not tolerate excess water and detergents. That’s why it’s better not to pour washing liquid directly on the floor, unless you reach for a special rinse aid. Always wash the panels in the direction of their arrangement, along the joints. Thanks to this, you will avoid loosening and unevenness.
What to wash the floor with? Home remedies are reliable
It is best to wash the panels with lukewarm water and a little detergent. They will work great with products that are available in every home. You will need 5 liters of warm water and about 2 tablespoons of spirit vinegar. You can also add a few drops of your favorite essential oil to neutralize the smell. This liquid will help get rid of smudges, thanks to which the panels will shine. To enhance the effect, prepare a homemade rinse aid.
- Add about half a glass of vinegar to 2 glasses of water.
- Add 2 level tablespoons of olive oil.
- Mix.
Soak a cloth in the liquid prepared in this way, wring it out and start polishing. For daily floor cleaning, you can try water with a few drops of dishwashing liquid and a bit of citric acid. Thanks to this, you will get rid of dirt and smudges.
