Harrison Ford as Red Hulk? The actor will join ‘Captain America 4’ in the role of General Ross

Veteran actor Harrison Ford (80 years old) joins the Marvel Cinematic Universe for the first time as the new face of an existing character, General Thunderbolt Ross, previously played by the late actor William Hurt, according to media such as The Hollywood Reporter, THR Y Deadline.

This will be in the 2024 film Captain America: New Word Order, directed by Julius Onah and starring 44-year-old American actor Anthony Mackie, in the role of Sam Wilson, the new Captain America and leader of the Avengers after the retirement of Steve Rogers.

New World Order will take place after the events of the 2021 series Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

By taking this role, Ford would also enter thunderbolts, the 2024 movie about the team of supervillains named after Thunderbolt Ross, as reported on the podcast The Hot Mic, Driven by Jeff Sneider and John Rocha.

In the Marvel Universe, Ross is one of the Hulk’s greatest enemies, capable of transforming into the Red Hulk. He was played in 2008 and 2016 by actor William Hurt, in The incredible Hulk and in Captain America: Civil Waras well as in Infinity War, end game Y Black Widow. Hurt died on March 13, at the age of 71.

Although it is his first foray into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Harrison Ford is an expert in sagas and one of the most recognizable faces in cinema, be it as Han Solo (Star Wars), Rick Deckard (Blade Runner) or Indiana Jones, the archaeologist whom he will play again in Indiana Jones 5, to be released on June 30, 2023.
