Will Henry Cavill return to The Witcher? Viewers have hope

Let’s recall everything from the beginning. In the last days of October, the whole film world was focused on Henry Cavill resigning from The Witcher, and Liam Hemsworth will start playing Geralt of Rivia in the fourth season of the series. The star confirmed this in his Instagram post, where he wrote: “My journey with Geralt was full of monsters and adventures, but in the fourth season I am assembling my medallion and swords. The role of the White Wolf will be taken over by the fantastic Liam Hemsworth for me.”

A few weeks before the announcement of Cavill’s resignation from “The Witcher”, the movie “Black Adam”, in which he returned to the role of Superman, entered the cinemas. This was supposed to be an announcement of playing the role of this superhero permanently. However, when DC and Warner Bros. changed bosses, it was decided that Henry Cavill would not be Superman again – despite an earlier announcement to the contrary. “After the studio told me to announce my return, and before Gunn and Safran were hired, it’s not the easiest message to share, but that’s life. Changing the guard is something that happens,” the actor wrote in a statement.

Fans Would Like Cavill to Return to ‘The Witcher’

Many of the actor’s fans were angered by the news that he would be leaving The Witcher to possibly return to the role of Superman. But now that’s really how Cavill feels when his two big roles are unattainable. Some wonder if there’s still time for a return to The Witcher, while others suggest he could appear in many other projects.

And those who thought so predicted the future, because on December 15 it was announced that Cavill was in talks about a new Amazon production from the Warhammer universe. He is to become not only the main star, but also an executive producer. Such information was provided by portal Gizmodo and The Hollywood Reporter.

Fans’ reactions to this news, however, are divided and many of them would still like him to return to the cast of the Netflix hit. However, there is a lot of talk about the star leaving the production, not to devote himself to the role of Superman, but because of creative differences with the people responsible for producing the series. Cavil has also been tipped for the role of James Bond in the new movies, but the Broccoli family is thinking of someone much younger.

Either way, fan creativity knows no bounds, and on Twitter we can find plenty of memes or posts that make fun of the current situation, or those in which the authors suggest where the actor could play when “The Witcher” and the role of Superman are no longer relevant to him.

So now that Henry Cavill has left the cast of The Witcher to become Superman, but he won’t really be Superman, can we start shooting Codename U.N.C.L. 2 (with cast change) now?
