Absurdity at a funeral. The urn was buried in the wrong grave
After the death of their father, the daughters began to prepare all the formalities related to the funeral.
On November 29, after visiting the funeral home, we went to the cemetery to meet the gravedigger

The gravedigger also took a photograph of the grave where the urn with the ashes of the deceased was to be buried. The daughters of the deceased also agreed with the institution all the details of the ceremony. Magdalena mentioned that you had to pay extra for removing the tombstone.
Today I regret that on the day of my father’s funeral I did not go to see how the place of burial was prepared. But I saw a tent from a distance, so it never occurred to me that this could happen

The funeral ceremony was held in the older part of the cemetery. The mourning relatives of the deceased had to stand mainly between the graves. – We stood in such a way that we could not see the graves in front. The parish priest, who led the ceremony, was standing in front. He saw the nameplates on the grave. I do not know how he could not notice the mistake – told the interlocutor “GW”.
It was only when the urn with the ashes had been placed in the grave that a relative of the deceased realized that this was not the proper burial place.
During the funeral, when the urn was already in the grave, one of the relatives of the deceased realized that Mrs. Magdalena’s father was buried in the wrong grave. According to the findings of “GW” journalist Agnieszka Dobkiewicz, the priest who celebrated the mass was supposed to know about the mistake. However, he ended the ceremony without saying goodbye.
At other funerals it was so that you could approach the grave at the end, throw the ground and say goodbye to the deceased. But the priest skipped that part, quickly ended the funeral, and then went on to the next one

The daughters of the deceased immediately called the gravedigger, who already knew what had happened. The man immediately wanted to dig up the urn and move it to the grave next to it. The women, however, wanted the priest to consecrate the proper burial of their father.
And perhaps the worst thing was what the priest did. He came to us and made a joke: “Let’s be glad it wasn’t a coffin”…
