Inflation and rising prices have recently been one of the most frequently discussed topics. Almost everyone notices the changing prices of products and services. It turns out that exorbitant prices can be felt even during winter walks around the city. One of our readers shared her thoughts.
– For me, winter does not exist without a walk around the Old Town. The atmospheric Christmas illuminations delight every year. However, the prices in the Old Town are absurd. Inflation is inflation, but it seems that some prices found in the city are not a funny joke. We heard 60 zlotys for two mulled wine and hot chocolate. PLN 20 for a “hot chocolate” that didn’t even stand next to the chocolate?! It was ordinary cocoa and it was instant with sugar in the first place in the composition. There was 200 ml of mulled wine and it wasn’t mulled from good red wine, full of oranges, cinnamon and other additives. It was ready-made, a liter bottle of which can be bought in a store for no more than PLN 15. Someone will say, if you don’t like it, then don’t go and don’t buy it. Sure, you can anyway. But that’s not the point… I just think retailers should be more fair to their customers. A few streets away, a well-known brand patisserie also sold hot chocolate. It cost the same, but there was more, and it was real chocolate! You can? As you can see, you can – wrote Gosia in a letter sent to our editorial office, enclosing a photo of the receipt.
