There are films that have marked several generations and despite the fact that readaptations have been made, the actors who played the characters for the first time have not been able to get rid of them.
One of them is Keanu Reeves, who, although he is remembered for other interpretations such as John Wick, is also remembered for the movie Constantine.
In 2005 the successful movie was released, one of the first superheroes to be made. After 17 years, a new production is already on the horizon that will have Reeves again playing John Constantine.

According to Deadline, Francis Lawrence will be in charge of directing this film. He was commissioned to direct the first one as well. Akiva Goldman will also join the production.
It is not yet known what this movie will be about, but the only thing that has been said is that it will be a continuation of the 2005 one in which Constantine quit smoking and for which Lucifer said he would be the only soul he would come looking for.
The project start date is expected to be confirmed. (AND)
