Starting this weekend, the 29 McDonald’s stores in Ecuador officially have three new products on the menu with two protagonists: crispy chicken is one; and, new to a fast food chain, potato bread is the other.

Although in the new line, called McCrispy Chicken, chicken breast is the queen protein, it has been very important for the chain to innovate in this bread that is offered and served for the first time in a franchise in Ecuador, according to the manager of Marketing, Cecilia Aviles.

“We are always looking to offer new options and ingredients to our consumers and also expand the flavor of our menu. We are always listening to trends and requirements. And it is precisely how this platform was born to bring something different, something innovative to chicken fans with this potato bread, which gives that special touch to the sandwich”, comments the executive.

The potato bread, made entirely in Ecuador, is exclusive to the McCrispy Chicken line, which has three presentations:

  1. Classic: with crispy and juicy breaded chicken breast, accompanied by pickles and served on buttered potato flour bread.
  2. Spicy: crispy chicken accompanied by pickles and served on potato bread with sauce spicy.
  3. Deluxe: breast fillet, tomato slices, lettuce, potato bread and mayonnaise.

This new line of sandwiches was presented on Thursday. Matías Barriga, former participant of MasterChefprepared the three sandwiches live at the La Aurora venue, via Daule.

“We focus a lot on the customer’s taste, on current trends,” said Avilés, and Paola Caicedo, McDonald’s Communications Manager, added that the nutritional value of each of the tablecloths and the brand’s website is exposed. their products.

More than 85% of the franchise providers are local. In the case of the new line, the bread is made by Bimbo, explains Cecilia Avilés.
