And that was demonstrated when tides of Guayaquil people poured into the first edition of the Burger Show festivaldedicated to this dish of american cuisine within the framework of the foundation festivities of Guayaquil.
Such is the love for this beefy ground beef sandwich that its fans did not hesitate to declare themselves the biggest eaters of this food. On the afternoon of this Sunday, July 24, the second day of the event, the contest was held again eat burgers that found even the most greedy of the meeting that takes place in the Esplanade of El Dorado (Daule).
Ten young people were summoned to the main stage of the show to compete for the title of the fastest eater, by devouring three hamburgers in the shortest possible time. The young Nicole Yépez, 22, declared herself the winner when she finished off the sandwiches in approximately two minutes. “I hadn’t eaten anything since morning, since 9:00”, confessed the winner of $100 and a paid television subscription for 6 months.
