The Spanish Government approves a OPE of 44,787 places

The Government of Spain has approved “the largest public job offer in history”, through which it will offer 44,787 places this year in its objective of strengthening public policies, something that “it cannot do if the Administration does not have the necessary staff “.

As explained by the Minister of Finance and Public Function, María Jesús Montero, the Council of Ministers approved this public job offer on Tuesday, with 34,151 ordinary jobs, to which are added the 10,637 jobs of the employment stabilization plan temporary.

Within the ordinary job offer, Montero explained, 15,800 places will be open access and 9,591 for internal promotion and the Government’s objective is to have them approved before the end of the year.

Of the 10,637 positions in the stabilization plan, he added, 4,692 will be for the General State Administration and 5,945 for Justice personnel.

According to this plan to tackle public temporary employment, “before June 2022, all administrations have to publish public offers for the stabilization of temporary employment, not only the General State Administration, but also the autonomous communities and municipalities,” said Montero.

Likewise, these offers must be called before December of this year, with the aim that the processes are completed and the places awarded before December 31, 2024, he added.
