“On the part of the Ministry of Energy and Mines, we have the three candidates but we are going to evaluate, I still cannot advance that. I am going to propose some change in the board of directors but I have to tell the minister and propose it, but it is in the proposal to be able to make a change in the board of directors, “said the official in the Energy and Mines Commission of the Congress of the Republic.
Regarding the replacement of Hugo Chávez as a member of the Petroperú board of directors, Reyes Vivas specified that this corresponds to the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF).
“The Lord Hugo Chavez He has already left the company, he was part of the board but by Economy and Finance that at the time appointed him, then the MEF is going to have to appoint a replacement for Hugo Chávez on the board, “he said.
It is important to remember that the second call for the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders of Petroperú is for this Tuesday, March 29. The first was declared deserted due to lack of quorum.
