They propose rescheduling of up to 3 years to Reactiva Peru credits

Congresswoman Karol Paredes Fonseca of Popular Action presented on April 27 the Bill 1884/2021-CR that proposes the exceptional reprogramming of the credits of the Peru Reactive Program for a period of up to three years.

The initiative proposes that, in case the beneficiaries have complied with paying the payment of 20% of their credits, the rescheduling considered will be up to two additional years for full payment of the debt. While users who to date have not been able to perform no payment will have an extension of up to three additional years.

“The rescheduling will be carried out only at the request of the debtor, subject to evaluation by the respective Financial System Company (ESE) that granted the credit. The term to benefit from the reprogramming of credits will be 60 calendar days computed from the validity of the ministerial resolution that approves the adequacy of the Operating Regulations of the Program in accordance with this Law”, specifies the proposal.

The bill also indicates that the Financial System Companies (ESF) will grant a new grace period of up to 12 months for the beneficiaries of rescheduling, additional time to the original grace period established in Legislative Decree No. 1455. “In this new grace period, said beneficiaries only pay the corresponding interest and commissions,” he details.

Finally, it establishes that the Ministry of Economy and Finance “will approve by ministerial resolution the actions inherent to the trust agreement of the Peru Reactive Program and its addenda signed with Cofide”, as well as the rescheduled credits within thirty days counted from the adequacy of the Program’s Operating Regulations.
