236 young people (128 women and 108 men) choose one of the 100 BEINT scholarships for business internationalization that the Basque Internationalization Agency of the SPRI group has convened for the 2022-2024 period. Among the candidates, 150 are from Bizkaia, 59 from Gipuzkoa and 27 from Álava.

During the day this Saturday the candidates will undergo a selection process at the BEC. In this process, tests of knowledge of the use of Basque, English and optionally a second foreign language (German, Arabic, Mandarin Chinese, French, Italian, Portuguese and Russian) will be carried out. The exam will also include psychotechnical tests and a general socioeconomic knowledge test.

The first 100 candidates with the best scores will be BEINT scholarship holders, and will begin the first training phase in the university environment from the first of July. Subsequently, the scholarship holders will be designated for one-year office assignments abroad, and finally, between January and August 2024, they will complete their training with a business internship.

The Basque Government began in 1986 the process to train specialists in internationalization, and today it has become an important scholarship in the university field.

The BEINT training program

The training plan is arranged in three phases that combine theoretical and practical knowledge within 24 months.

The first phase consists of four-month university training designed with 14 areas of knowledge. This training will be given in collaboration with the three Basque universities.

In the next phase, lasting 12 months, fellows will have the option to choose a foreign destination to continue with a practical training. The training itinerary is completed with the third phase, in which fellows will have 8 months of practical experience in companies with foreign implantation and preferably Basque, selected by the intern himself.
