Iberdrola has achieved a net profit of 1,058 million euros in the first quarter of the year, 3% more than in the same period of the previous year, as reported by the company on Wednesday in a statement.
International business, especially the United States and Brazil, have boosted the multinational, which has registered a sharp drop of 29% in its profit in Spain, to 337 million euros.
Spain accounts for less than a third of the company’s results.
With these numbers up to March, the company estimates a net profit for this year of between 4,000 and 4,200 million euros.
