The light falls this Sunday to 79 euros / MWh

This new figure will mean returning to the levels recorded at the beginning of August, although the month of October will become the most expensive in history.

The average daily price of electricity in the wholesale market will collapse this Sunday 36.56%, up to 79 euros per megawatt hour (MWh), this price being the lowest registered in this month of October, which will be the most expensive month of history.

Furthermore, this new figure means a return to the levels recorded at the beginning of August. From the 7th of that month (the last lowest at € 65.64 / MWh) the price of electricity has not stopped reaching historical records.

Although this Saturday has also fallen by 29.18% compared to the previous day, the price of electricity in the wholesale market is still at very high levels compared to the rest of the historical series. Specifically, and compared to the same day a year ago, the price it has become more expensive by 120.85%.

Thus, the average price of electricity for this month of October will close with 212.29 euros / MWh, that is, 56.15 euros above the average for September (156.14 euros / MWh), thus becoming the month most expensive ever so far.

The highest price this Sunday will be between 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., when it will reach 148 euros / MWh, while the lowest will be registered between 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m., when it will be listed. at 52.79 euros / MWh.
