Siderperú employees will hold a sit-in on March 22 in defense of labor rights

The Siderperú-Gerdau Employees Union will hold a sit-in next Tuesday, March 22, at the main door of the company in defense of their labor rights, the union reported in a press release.

The workers demand the change of the Ing. Christian Galvez What Human resources managerof whom they denounce that he has not shown suitability or skill, being responsible for the situation of labor instability generated by the discontent of the employees.

Among their demands are also the reinstatement of work meetings with the new Human Resources manager, as well as the immediate change of concessionaire of the dining rooms and improvement of the quality of the food, which must be fresh and from the province.

Along these lines, they also request compliance with all the clauses that the company is unaware of, such as administrative loans, leveling of abandoned categories, Regulation of Family Medical Insurance, income of a direct family member due to death or retirement of the worker, among others.

Likewise, the union demands that Siderperú provide the personal home transportation service for Huachipa-Lima employees, as well as the ratification of the act of May 5, 2020 so that affiliates infected by COVID-19 are not affected in their attendance record and medical leave for the duration of the pandemic.

Finally, they ask that technical and safety training should be considered in working hours and valued in promotions and categorization.
