Wholesale fuel prices did not rise this week

The wholesale prices of the main fuels remain unchanged in relation to last week, with the exception of bulk LPG, which rose 4.7%, according to the latest Petroperú report.

In this way, the gallon of vehicular diesel (Diesel B5 S-50 UV), which is within the Fuel Price Stabilization Fund (FEPC), including taxes, remains at S/16.0362, while diesel B5 S-50, continues at S/ 20,0954.

For its part, gasohol of 97 continues at S/18.8781, gasohol of 95 continues at S/18.6487, gasohol of 90 at S/ 18.2244, as well as gasohol of 84 at S/ 17, 8619.

Meanwhile, the kilogram of bottled LPG, which is also found in the FEPC, remains at S/3.7524, the only one that experiences a slight increase of S/0.20 is bulk LPG, which rises to S/S/ 4.4722.

The prices correspond to the Callao Plant, according to Petroperú, the prices will have a similar variation in the other plants.

It should be remembered that the reference prices published by Osinerming on Monday showed an increase of up to 14% in the main fuels; however, according to Gustavo Navarro, former director general of Hydrocarbons, this variation is not reflected in the Petroperú report because “in Peru prices are free and companies can freely decide whether to collect the international price partially, totally” .

The specialist highlights that Osinerming’s reference prices include the average of the last 10 prices of international crude oil (WTI), so “taking into account that in recent days there has been a significant reduction in the international market”, the state oil company I would have decided not to raise the prices.

“Crude oil, which is the main component of fuels, and WTI, which is the benchmark for Latin America, was around US$120 for a few days, but this week it fell to US$95”, he commented.
