The indefinite carrier strike this Wednesday celebrates its third day in Hego Euskal Herria. Truckers protest the elevated fuel prices. Yesterday, the protests were transferred to Pamplona, although it was in the Port of Bilbao where the strike had more follow-up.
Today, on the other hand, the transport sector will move to Vitoria-Gasteizto protest in front of the Basque Government headquarters.

The Hiru union highlighted yesterday the “wide” tracking that the strike is taking place, to which they have been forced because “there is no other remedy”.
In the Comunidad Foral, throughout the morning, some 150 trucks took the protest from Galar to the center of the capital.
In Bizkaia, a picket of some 70 carriers blocked the passage of trucks at the main entrance to the port, while Ertzaintza agents tried to keep the passage clear, which caused some moments of tension, discussion, beeps and shouts.
A truck driver, injured in the head
A 53-year-old truck driver was head wound in the facilities that the port of Bilbao has in Zierbena (Bizkaia), when it was hit by a stone.
According to sources from the Security Department, around 4:50 p.m. on Tuesday someone, who was not identified or detained, threw a stone against the cabin which, after breaking the window panes, hit the driver’s head.
The transporter, who did not support the strike, had to be transferred by ambulance to the Cruces Hospital to be treated for the wound that, according to Security, not more serious.
