Tourism: more than 500,000 travelers would mobilize on this long holiday

The Vice Minister of Tourism, Isabel Álvarez, projected that during the long holiday, which runs from October 30 to November 2, more than 500,0000 travelers will be mobilized to the interior of the country, which will translate into an economic impact of 66 million dollars.

The greatest mobilization would be by land transport, and the establishments where they would stay the most would be the Hotels and hostels.

“The projection is that hotels will accommodate 34% of travelers, hostels at 22% and rental apartments at 13% ”, he said.

Regarding the most visited regions, the official explained that they will be Cusco, Ancash, Ica, La Libertad and Piura. This is due to the interest that these destinations attract and because some people are expected to return to their places of birth.

The deputy minister reported that the web platform “Y tu qué Planes” has more than 100 travel offers to the 25 regions of the country, with prices ranging from 50 soles to the closest areas.
