Unions ELA, LAB, Steilas and CCOO have called a day of strike on March 25 and mobilizations to express their rejection of the document on the bases presented regarding the Education Law and to demand that they be taken into account in its preparation.
In an appearance before the media, these organizations have demanded that the Basque parties listen to the educational community because to date “the dialogue process has not been as participatory as it should” and have announced the call for a strike throughout the educational system , public, concerted and in nursery schools, under the motto “public, Euskaldun and own”.
In addition, they have announced demonstration in Bilbao the day of the strike and two demonstrations before the Basque Parliament on March 18 and 28, to claim, among other issues, an education law public-focusedovercoming the current “dual system” regarding concerted education, “that puts the Basque in the center” and with an increase in investment to 6% of GDP.
