Minem assures that there is no risk of fuel shortages

The tension between Russia and Ukraine It has caused international prices to rise, causing the value of fuels in our country to increase due to the fact that Peru is the main importer of hydrocarbons.

Given this scenario, the head of the Ministry of Energy and Mines (Minem), Carlos Palacios, indicated that he has been coordinating with the main hydrocarbon companies operating in the country, which have communicated that they are guaranteeing the supply of diesel, gasoline , LPG and fuels for airplanes and boats.

I must be clear in stating that there is no risk of shortages in our country. Likewise, these companies report that they are normally carrying out their fuel replacement purchases in a planned manner, in the short and medium term,” said the official through his social networks.

Finally, the head of the sector expressed that from his office they will continue working for the development of the energy sector, promoting the massification of the natural gas and applying renewable technologies in order to guarantee the efficient supply of fuels, energy security and preserve the economic stability of the country.
