Lima Stock Exchange closed at 0.73% and with most of its indicators positive

The Lima Stock Exchange (BVL) closed the day on Wednesday, March 9 with gains in its main indices, with 12 indicators in green and only 2 in red. Thus, the S&P/BVL Peru General index, the most representative of the Lima stock market, rose 0.73% to 24,754.65 points.

Similarly, the S&P/BVL index Selective Peruwhich is made up of the most traded shares in the local market, increased by 0.35% and stood at 648.31 units.

The gains of the day were led by the financial sector that grew 4.59%, followed by the technological and industrial sectors with 4.64% and 0.78%, respectively.

On the other hand, the only item that closed the day with losses was mining with a drop of -1.21%.

The stocks that rose the most within the local index were: Credicorp (+5.41%), Scotiabank (+4.17%), Ferreycorp (+3.90%) and BBVA (+3.37%). While those that fell the most were Panoro Minerals (-8.39%), Compañía de Minas Buenaventura (-6.08%) and Sierra Metals (-5.75%).
