The Lima Stock Exchange (BVL) closed the day on Tuesday, March 8 with gains in its main indiceswith nine indicators in green, five in red and two without variation driven by the good performance of the financial sector.
At the close of operations, the S&P/BVL Peru General index, the most representative of the Lima stock market, recorded a rise of 1.20% and stood at 24,575.39 points.
Similarly, the S&P/BVL Peru Selective index, which is made up of the 15 most traded stocks in the local market, recorded an advance of 0.91% and ended at 646.06 units.
The sector that led the guarancies was the financial sector, which rose 4.49%, followed by the mining sector, which grew 0.26. On the other hand, the losses of the day were in the consumer category (-0.04%), industrial (-0.74%) and construction (-0.69%). Meanwhile, service and electricity did not register variation.
