Congressman Eduardo Salhuana, of the Alianza para el Progreso caucus, presented a bill that proposes granting various tax benefits to companies constituted by people between 18 and 29 years of age and that are registered with the National Superintendency of Public Records (Sunarp).

Bill 1404/2021-CR, presented on Friday, March 4, states that companies incorporated under the scope of the standard will be exempt from paying income tax for two yearsas long as the profits are reinvested in the company for the development of economic activity.

Likewise, it adds that the exemption may be extended for three additional years if the staff that remains on the payroll is integrated, at least by 60% of young people.

The legal initiative also proposes the early return of the general sales tax (IGV) for export operations of goods and services.

In addition, it indicates that in the processes of contracting goods, services or works of public sector entities, these companies will have a 5% additional score bonus on technical proposal.

Cofide Fund and exclusions

The Alliance for Progress proposal also proposes that the Ministry of Economy and Finance be authorized to grant Cofide a line of financing for the creation of a fund aimed at financing entrepreneurship led by young people. with preferential interest rates.

On the other hand, it indicates that enterprises that exceed 300 UIT of social capital. Nor those who have registered annual sales greater than 400 UIT past year.
