The enchanted route of the condors, the new experience that seeks to reactivate tourism in Ayacucho

Boost tourism. The enchanted route of the condors leads to the Valley of the Sondondo in Lucanas, Ayacucho, which “has a long history of occupation concentrated in this geographic space (and) that includes ecological valley and puna floors, between 3,000 and 4,500 meters above sea level”, as described by the culture Ministry in 2019.

It was thus that LATAM Airlines Peru, Brand Ayacucho and the Patronate Pikimachay they committed this October 27 with the tourist reactivation of Ayacucho, and together they minted The enchanted route of the condors. Today was the launch and it was held with the presence of Yuri Gutierrez, mayor of the Provincial Municipality of Huamanga.

They also witnessed the event Carlos Rúa Carbajal, Regional Governor of Ayacucho, and Filiberto Canales, mayor of Andamarca. The officials highlighted the initiative and thanked for the commitment to the region.

Carlos Añaños, president of El Patronato Pikimachay, a non-profit or political organization, said in the presentation: “From the Patronato Pikimachay, we are committed to placing Ayacucho at the center of a process of economic and social transformation through projects of large wingspan. The enchanted route of the condors seeks to promote the natural, historical, cultural, musical, gastronomic and artisanal wealth of the area, which has been considerably affected by the pandemic ”.

The CEO of LATAM, Manuel van Oordt, highlighted on the same day the pillar that working together for this project means, which will have to do with the “revaluation of culture and tourism in Ayacucho”. “We are very excited that more and more tourists know the wonder of the Sondondo Valley,” he added.
