The Superintendency of Banking, Insurance and AFPs (SBS) reported, through a statement, that, to date, the Arequipa Savings and Credit Cooperative (Credicoop) is in the stage of Dissolution and liquidation. Therefore, it is planned to start with the return of deposits to saving members respecting the payment priority order established by law.
However, the SBS stated that it received queries and requests from saving members to allow the non-return of the same, since they intend to present a rehabilitation plan Of the entity.
As a result, the institution grants a term of 30 calendar days so that the partners can prove that this request, of non-refund, represents the majority of them.
In the case of not receiving it, the institution will proceed with the publication on its web portal of the first list of depositing members eligible for the return of deposits.
It should be noted that the return of deposits does not prevent the subsequent presentation of a rehabilitation plan.
