MTPE will define an increase in the minimum salary with a report that it will receive tomorrow from the INEI

The head of the Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion (MTPE), Betssy Chávez, announced that tomorrow the National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI) will send you a report that will be key for your office to define the new amount of the minimum living wage (RMV).

“We are only waiting for a report that has to come out tomorrow from the INEI, which has to give us the last quarter of last year for the final evaluation of the increase in the minimum living wage. That is what we are waiting for,” Chavez Chino told Exitosa.

The official added that, once said report is available, the evaluation will be carried out so that, after almost four years, an increase in the minimum wage can be given, which would be announced by the President of the Republic, Pedro Castillo.

“With the Vice Minister of Employment we have been requesting this report because we do not want to make only the projections according to the MEF. We have this report and I do not think it will take much longer for the increase in living minimum wage, that the President of the Republic will surely do it in a public event, as it corresponds, ”said the official.

schedule 19

The head of the MTPE also indicated that, to date, her office has achieved a progress of more than 50% of schedule 19.

“Of those 19 points, we are already 10 points fulfilled, four in the final stage and five are still in process, and that is important because many thought that Agenda 19 was annulled and no, the commitment that we have assumed is continue with what has been started”, the minister pointed out.
