To date, 68% of beneficiary companies still do not receive the Recover Formal Employment subsidy granted by the Government, reported the Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion (MTPE).
“There are still about 30,000 companies that are pending collection of the subsidy, the majority being micro and small companies (Mypes)”, said the MTPE.
However, the portfolio specified that the 32% of employers who have been paid are the ones that have generated the majority of jobs (73%) and represent the majority of the approved budget (69%).
In this regard, the head of Labor and Employment Promotion, Betssy Chávez, explained that during 2021, her office approved and published 11 lists of companies that obtained this subsidy, for the benefit of a total of 45,531 private sector employers; of which, 67.2% (30,614 employers) are Mypes, with up to 10 workers.
Finally, companies will have until next April to collect the subsidy that seeks to support employers who opted to recover and preserve formal employment in the private sector in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
