Bloomberg: Peru displaces Chile as the most stable economy in Latin America and the Caribbean

Peru is now the most solid and stable economy in Latin America and the Caribbean, according to the update of the country risk indicators of Bloomberg.

In this sense, our country reached 56.28 points and displaced Chile from this title (52.79 points).

According to the international agency, the southern country did not worsen, but was overtaken by a more polished advance of the Peruvian economy in the fourth quarter of 2021, after registering 35.3 points in the previous quarter.

It is worth emphasizing that the Bloomberg index measures economic, financial and political sectors in relation to the performance of other developed and emerging countries. Higher scores indicate a lower risk scenario.

Bloomberg specifies that Chile led the political parameter in the study period, with 73.96 points, while Peru barely obtained 17.71 points in the midst of a crisis exacerbated by changes in the cabinet in Pedro Castillo’s administration.

However, in financial matters, the southern country achieved 13.86 points. Here, Peru heads the ranking with 80.72 points.
