The Executive announced the suspension of the transport strike scheduled for this Tuesday, October 26, through an agreement that incorporates the Diesel al Fuel Price Stabilization Fund with a reduction of S / 0.30, including taxes, per gallon, as demanded by the different unions in the sector.
According to the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC), the agreement was reached after 12 hours of dialogue, in which the head of the sector participated, Juan Silva, and the representatives of the Association of Interprovincial Passenger Transport (Cotrapapoid) and cargo transport (UNT Peru).
The meeting was also attended by the committee made up of the ministries of Economy and Finance; and Energy and Mines; and the aforementioned unions, for the reactivation of the sector.
Likewise, it transpired that PetroperĂș also made reductions in the list price to S / 0.50 per gallon. Which makes a total of S / 0.75 per gallon, which including IGV amounts to S / 0.88.
About the return of the Excise tax (TO GO), the MTC stated that the return procedure will be simplified. The aforementioned process, which currently takes 70 days, will be gradually reduced to 30 days. The same that will be done by bank account. The return will be extended to the regional level.
