ARCC: Reconstructed schools will be inaugurated within the framework of the Government-to-Government Agreement

Next Thursday, February 16, 2022, four schools will be inaugurated in Ancash as part of the works carried out within the framework of the Government-to-Government Agreement (G2G) with the United Kingdom to restore the infrastructure damaged by the El Niño Costero Phenomenon (FEN) , advanced Amalia Moreno Vizcardo, executive director of the Authority for Reconstruction with Changes (ARCC).

“We will be inaugurating our first G2G works and we will continue like this progressively in the coming weeks. The schools are first class, have unprecedented outstanding characteristics, in the category of the best educational institutions in the country”, Moreno Vizcardo commented.

These are school premises No. 1556 IEI Angelitos de Jesús and No. 88104 IE María Parado de Bellido, located in the district and province of Casma. Likewise, schools IENº 88331 – Rinconada, in the district of Santa and Santa Province, and IE Nº 88232 Nuestra Virgen María, in the district of Chimbote and Santa province.

According to the ARCC, the four interventions will benefit a total of 1,397 girls and boys in the most needy areas of these districts.

Construction of new health centers

On the other hand, the executive director of the ARCC also announced that from April the first medical centers will be delivered.

“Among the health establishments that will be inaugurated in April is the Limón de Porcuya Health Center, which required an estimated investment of S/ 13,917,005.88 and will impact the quality of life of the citizens of the Huarmaca province of Piura” , he detailed.

Within the framework of the G2G, the ARCC has been investing S/ 8,151 million in the execution of 125 projects for the reconstruction of schools, health centers and comprehensive solutions. As of December 2021, 33,647 direct and indirect jobs have been promoted in favor of the population of the 13 regions affected by the FEN.
